Elastane adds some elasticity, stretch and insulation, whilst the resulting fabric is also wind resistant. The second layer is a waterproof yet breathable membrane. This layer and the first one work together to keep you protected from inclement weather. The third and last layer, the one nearest to your body, is uber-comfortable microfleece which is designed to keep you extra warm and cosy.
