How to care for your NHS uniform
Properly caring for your NHS uniform has rarely been more critical.

How should you clean your NHS uniform at home?
Washing your uniform at home isn’t much different from washing any other garments. However, for best results, the NHS recommends:
- Washing with detergents at 30ºC will remove most Gram-positive microorganisms, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).

- A ten-minute wash at 60ºC is enough to remove almost all microorganisms.
- Washing uniforms separately from other clothing items is beneficial.
